Gettysburg! July 3 - 5, 2009 The 146th event returns to the old Killer Angels (Gettysburg) movie site. Threatened just a few years ago with development, the site has been saved due to the faltering economy. The site is well preserved and remains almost exactly as it stood when last we tread these green fields of Southern Pennsylvania. A fitting place to return on our 25th Anniversary to recall moments such as the battle where General Maupin received his moniker "Ol' Whoopass" after pushing the Federal army off the field and almost to the parking lot. Remember the battle where the federals sent up a hundred troops to face the Corps and General Hillsman quoted, "is this all they can come up with on their home ground?" Just before three battalions of Federals came over the next hill on our flank. Registration will be held in the preserved "Big Red Barn" across the road from the site.
